Honouring the spirit of Year of Wood Snake, Glenfiddich unveils a limited-edition gift pack designed by celebrated ink artist Zhang Yu, featuring the Glendfiddich 21 Years Old Gran Reserva alongside the 12, 15 and 18 Year Old Expressions. Titled A Gift for Great Encounter, this collaboration blends East and West in a toast to harmony, tradition, and the art of whisky. 

This partnership is inspired by the imagined encounter of Glendfiddich’s iconic stag and the mythical Nine-Coloured Deer from Chinese folklore. The collection celebrates cultural exchange in its finest form, Zhang Yu, known for her mastery of contemporary ink wash painting, brings this concept to life with vivid brushstrokes that merge the elegance of Oriental artistry with the boldness of Occidental tradition. Zhang’s interpretation transforms Glenfiddich’s heritage into a visual symphony, showcasing the legendary Dunhuang-inspired deer in dialogue with Glenfiddich’s regal stag. 

Zhang Yu describes the collaboration as an extension of her admiration for Glenfiddich’s craft: "The complexity of their whisky mirrors the interplay of ink, water, and paper in my art. Their pursuit of excellence inspires me to refine my own craft." 

Leading the collection is the Glenfiddich 21 Year Old Gran Reserva, a whisky aged and finished in Caribbean rum casks, it has a note of intense and vanilla sweet, with floral and hints of banana, figs, rich toffee, and oak. The taste starts off soft, slowly becomes brisk, vibrant with peppery and citrus profiles. Paired with elegant nosing glasses, these gift packs are as much about the experience as the contents within—a true celebration of togetherness, tradition, and great encounters.
