Wellness on the Itinerary at Archipelago Hotels
Discover how Archipelago Hotels integrates wellness into your stay with spas, pools, and fitness centres across 77 Indonesian properties.

Travel has a way of throwing routines off course. Breakfast starts later, meetings run into lunch and a full day of exploring can leave little time for anything else. For some travellers, though, keeping a few familiar habits in the mix is part of enjoying the trip. That might mean making time for a workout, going for a swim or simply finding an hour to switch off.
This is where the hotel can become part of the routine. Across Archipelago Hotels, guests have access to a growing selection of wellness facilities that make it possible to do a little of both, enjoy the destination and still find time to look after themselves. The options vary across the group’s properties. There are fitness centres at 55 hotels and swimming pools at 31, while 12 properties offer yoga, Zumba and Pilates. Those looking for a slower pace can find spa services at 67 hotels, with six properties also offering saunas and four featuring jacuzzis.
In total, 77 Archipelago Hotels properties across Indonesia offer at least one wellness facility. They can be found across Java, Bali and Nusa Tenggara, Sumatra, Kalimantan and Sulawesi, spanning brands such as Aston, Kamuela, The Alana, Harper, Quest Hotels, Hotel Neo and fave hotel. The spa offering adds a further layer of experience, particularly for travellers interested in experiences connected to the destination. Archipelago works with Alaya Spa, Annathaya Spa, Kamma Spa and Apsara Spa, as well as other local operators. Some treatments take inspiration from Indonesian wellness traditions, bringing local elements into time set aside for rest.
The wider interest in these facilities comes as health and wellness becomes a bigger part of travel in Indonesia. According to the Indonesia Tourism Outlook 2025/2026, health and wellness tourism is expected to continue growing as travellers place more importance on health and relaxation during their journeys.

“Demand for wellness facilities continues to grow as travellers’ needs evolve. We see hotels playing a role beyond simply providing a place to stay, but also serving as spaces that support health and balance. Through the development of wellness facilities across our brands, we want to create a stay experience that is increasingly relevant to our guests’ needs,” said John Flood, CEO of Archipelago Hotels.
There is no need to turn a holiday into a wellness retreat. With these facilities becoming more common across Archipelago’s properties, guests have more options to look after themselves without making wellness another item to organise during the trip.
