Seasonal Tastes at The Westin Jakarta

From the latest (and tallest!) addition to Jakarta’s high-end hospitality scene here comes yet another pleasant surprise. Just one month old, The Westin Jakarta is already grabbing the attention of Jakarta food connoisseurs, thanks to its magnificent dining selections and its stunning view. At its all-day dining restaurant Seasonal Tastes, an extensive buffet awaits enthusiastic diners. With Executive Chef Daniel Kuser at the helm, the establishment features seven live stations with an open kitchen concept that includes gas-fired stone pizza oven and grill. An extensive array of appetizers and salads greets diners as they start their dining exploration. Main courses include Indonesian, Asian, Western and Indian fares, all of which exceptionally prepared. The Western station, with its pasta, pizza and other Italian dishes, is a must-try, though I must admit that my personal favourite was the Indonesian station in rotation from different region everyday and its impressive eight choices of sambal (chili paste) condiments. Do save some room for dessert and gobble up on the delectable sweets—from French pastries to traditional Indonesian pancake Martabak Manis to four types of fondue and ice cream tepanyaki. Here, there’s something for everybody. To cater to the needs of the health conscious and business travelers, the chefs have also teamed up with physicians and nutritionists to come up with special menu selection entitled SuperFoodsRX. Seasonal Tastes also features a bar with a contemporary twist, where guests can expect a vast selection of local and international food to pair with excellent wines and carefully crafted cocktails.  The Bar also offers tables by the Al Fresco side against breathtaking  view of the city. At Seasonal Tastes at the Westin Jakarta, it’s more than just dining. It’s a sensational wholesome experience.
