Plataran Bandung Opens in the 'City of Flowers'
Plataran Indonesia open its new restaurant branch in Bandung, West Java.

A brand new dining and events destination has recently been unveiled with the opening of Plataran Bandung West Java. The new venue facilitates for MICE, large and private gathers, wedding and also regular dining, all encapsulated in a sophisticated, Javanese-style.
Officially opened on 8 March 2023, Plataran Bandung adds to the impressive repertoire of the Plataran Indonesia hospitality group. As is customary for this renowned brand, Plataran Bandung once again showcases the beauty of Indonesia’s heritage through its design, cuisine and service. Thus, it is good company to the neighbouring ‘Gedung Sate’, a beautiful heritage building from the 1920s now used as both a museum and the seat of the Governor of West Java.
Working closely with local artisan from the city of Bandung, the venue features installations of ornamental plants, wooden paneling, murals and interior decorations. Together they have created an atmosphere that pays homage to the culture and history of West Java, though presented with a very fresh and contemporary face, living up to their ‘Intimate Royal Homey Venue’ description.
Split into numerous areas, Plataran Bandung has been carefully designed for events large and small, with a capacity of up to 600 guests. Guests are welcomed into the Askara Lounge with a warm atmosphere before entering Merak Venue which is the main dining room. There are five private rooms of different sizes; Cendrawasih Venue is the premier area, featuring personal butler services; and you’ll also find Jalak Bali Lounge, home to their bar and mixology services with great snacks; and also Khatulistiwa Terrace, an alfresco dining area.

Of course, part and parcel with all of this is food, and Plataran Indonesia prides itself in its offerings of authentic Indonesian cuisine in all of its venues, and Plataran Bandung is no different. Featuring local Bandung favourties to lesser-known regional delicacies, as well as a wide selection of international and fusion creations, there is plenty of choice when dining at Plataran Bandung.
Some examples of their specialty Indonesian creations include, Pais Ayam Bakar Bamboo (chicken cooked in bamboo), Gurame Mangga (deep-fried fish with mango relish), Bubur Goreng Gedung Sate (a hotpot porridge with local delicacies), Mie Cakalang Rica-Rica (Manadonese-style noodles with tuna), Nasi Goreng Tigadewi (three-ways fried rice) to a range of satays. You’ll aso find new creations like Galette, Crepes Pisang Coklat, Plataran Burger and Croissant Egg Sandwich, to name a few.
