Cafélulu, A Tropical Eatery at Kemang Village

As people enter Cafelculu, muted pink wall and the tropical greenery that abounds are enough to make you feel like it’s “Summer in California”. Located at Lippo Mall in Kemang Village, the brand new Cafelulu offers a wide range of international comfort food in a stylish, instagenic space.

After the success of Sofia at The Gunawarman and Lucy in the Sky at SCBD, Syah Establishments opens this new dining spot in South Jakarta, conveniently situated at the main entrance of the mall with a vibrant presence. The corners are painted in a dominant nude colour rather like the movie “Florida Project”, and finished with navajo textiles, and cacti, which gives it a social vibe.

The summer-ish vibe extends to the menu, too with a selection of tropical beverages such as The Margherita, Tamoolong Breeze, thirst-quenching Pinavocado, cold brew Citrus Soda, Garden Marry, and Flora Dora as well as a variety of artisan cocktails and coffee. The selection of liquor such as cold beer and wine is also available at the bar.

Large and wide windows allow guests a view of the world around them as they enjoy a delicious meal. When the temperature rises, there’s ice cream—and popsicles— on offer.  

“Street inspired” is the theme here and the setting is casual. There are many options for the varied tastes of diners including Nasi Goreng Kampoeng, Pizzas, Burgers and Pasta, to delicious Thai food. The culinary team prepares signature dishes with a twist.

It has proved popular with diners so far with casual groups meeting for a meal or the solitary person focused on work. While generally packed well into dinnertime, it isn’t distracting for those looking to have quiet conversation at their table.

Cafelulu is open daily at 10am to 11pm, and it’s still on until 1 am in Friday and Saturday.
