Penfolds’ Tribute To First Chief Winemaker

A tribute to Max Schubert, who began his career as a messenger boy at Penfolds and eventually became its Chief Winemaker at only 33 years of age, Max’s aims to appeal to a younger generation of wine lovers.

“This is Penfolds’ first new range in over a decade and the very first collection named after a winemaker,” said Patrick Dowling, Penfolds Winemaking Ambassador. “With this ranges, we are recognizing Max Schubert’s invaluable contribution to Penfolds, while celebrating his innovative spirit, vision and determination”.

The Max’s tribute range of wines complements Penfolds’ collections, and each of the reds were matured for 12 months in a French oak (10% new).

The Max’s range is currently available at Altitude The Plaza, Proof, Bottle Wine & Spirits and will soon be retailing at all Red & White outlets, starting from February 15.
